Veyo Pool Resort, is a short twenty-five-minute drive that offers a beautiful scenery on the way. To get to Veyo Pool Resort head north on state Route 18 toward Veyo. As you drop down the famous “Veyo Hill” and before you cross the bridge look to the right for the Veyo Pool and Crawdad Canyon Climbing Park sign. Make sure to slow down and take a sharp right turn after the sign and follow the road around and down into Crawdad Canyon.
The resort is surrounded by beautiful black lava rock formations, creating a breathtaking views. Thrill-seekers-can enjoy rock climbing, with various walls available for every skill level. The climb up the canyon rewards visitors with an awe-inspiring view of the valley below.
The Veyo Pool is fed by natural hot spring water flowing from the canyon wall, with a temperature of about 89 degrees. When swimmers get hungry there are a variety of options available. The snack counter offers hamburgers, hot dogs, corn dogs, fries, onion rings, frozen treats and more. Patrons can also bring their own picnics and eat at one of the many shaded tables.
Veyo also offers many camping sites that can be reserved for your weekend getaway, provided with a picnic table and a fire pit, you will enjoy sleeping in your tent while you listen to the soft creek waters.
